Before & Afters......Why I Use Them
Do you love Before & Afters as much as I do? I always think it's fascinating to see how something amazing came to be, and what it was like before it was amazing. We as sinful humans are kind of like that, before God gets ahold of us and creates us into something amazing. (For most, like me, it's a continual work in progress!). In my side-passion of photography, I love to take normal, everyday images and turn them into something beautiful. It's one of my "calling cards" I guess you could say, in that I create art....I don't just take pictures. Take a look at a couple of examples of what I mean. In the above before/after images, you can see that the family has quite a bit of shadow on their faces. It was an overcast day, chilly and we only had a few minutes. You can also see that in this family picture, Grandma's glasses had tinted into sunglasses. In the final image of the family, I was able to create a beautiful image. This image was taken in central Kansas at a family birthday party.
In the set of images above, Santa had fallen asleep while reading a book in front of a plain green paper backdrop. In the final image above, you get a whole Christmas story.....a "night after Christmas Santa is exhausted after traveling the world". He's just laid down for a rest and some yummy cookies which fall out of his hand while he snoozes....cute little storybook mice come along and snatch up his cookie crumbs! The sign on the now-textured wall of his north-pole house shows a calendar of the date, Dec 26th, confirming why Santa is exhausted. Of course in the second image I edited with an Normal Rockwell style, using some techniques to give the illustrated effect. I typically offer Christmas Mini Sessions so watch for more information on that or go to the "Special Edition Sessions" page on my webpage at: https://www.eternityphotographyks.com/special-edition-christmas
In the next two set of images you'll see where I started and where I finished. (The before image is the frame right after the final image....but you get the idea of where the image started.).
For me, and for those who hire me, the final artwork is a precious memory captured in the highest quality possible to be shared for generations.
I can't wait to create gorgeous artwork for you!
