Choosing a wedding photographer is a big decision!  You're investment should be one that you are confident in and I understand the importance.  Let me share with you a few things to look for when you're deciding on who to select as your wedding photographer.  

Did the photographer respond promptly to your inquiries?  If they didn't, they likely won't be very available to you as you plan your big day.  You need someone who will be accessible and timely and easy to get a hold of.  I will answer or return your calls/messages quickly and assure you that you have my attention.  

Does the photographer have experience in managing the flow of a wedding and handling the inevitable challenges that pop up?  Ask them about situations they've navigated in time-crunched events and see how they deal with it.  Do they shrink back and hide in a corner or do they step up and assist you to do whatever is necessary to keep your special day on track?  That's a strength of mine.  Handling pressure with a smile and helping to keep the tone positive.  

How quickly does your photographer turn-around wedding galleries to their clients?  Ask them what the average timeframe is, ask some of their previous clients.  I know how incredibly hard it is to wait for the oh-so-special images of the incredible day.  If you're like me, they can't get to you soon enough!  I pride myself in working as hard as I can to get your wedding images (or family portraits, senior portraits, whatever session) back to you within days, not weeks or months!  Granted, in a busy season it might be 14 days but you can bet I'll be working on them from the moment I leave your wedding until the moment I tell you "here's your gorgeous gallery!!"  I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
